Conditions we treat
Migraine Chiropractic Care in Zeeland, Portage & Muskegon
Chiropractic care for migraines: reducing the cervical and nervous-system triggers behind attacks so you have fewer, shorter, less severe episodes.
Migraine is a neurological event, not just a bad headache. Chiropractic care doesn't claim to cure it — but for many sufferers, neck dysfunction is a reliable trigger, and reducing that input measurably lowers how often attacks fire.
Symptoms we hear about
- Throbbing pain usually on one side of the head
- Nausea, and sensitivity to light, sound or smell
- Visual aura, spots or tunnel vision before the pain
- Neck stiffness in the day or hours beforehand
- Exhaustion and brain fog for a day afterward
What's usually driving it
Migraine attacks start when an already sensitive nervous system hits a threshold. Upper cervical joint dysfunction sends a constant stream of irritating input into the same brainstem nucleus that processes head and face pain, lowering that threshold. Take that input away and the same triggers — weather, hormones, poor sleep — don't tip you over as easily.

FAQ
Migraines: common questions
Can chiropractic cure my migraines?
No, and we won't say otherwise. What we consistently see is fewer and less severe attacks when cervical dysfunction is corrected, and many patients reduce their reliance on rescue medication.
Will adjustments trigger an attack?
Rarely. Some patients feel a brief soreness or a light-headed hour afterward. We start conservatively during an active attack and do the corrective work between episodes.
How long before I know if it's helping?
Give it four to six weeks and track your headache days. That's long enough to see a real trend across a normal cycle of triggers.
Do I need a referral to be seen?
No. You can book directly with any of our three clinics in Zeeland, Portage or Norton Shores (Muskegon). If we think you need imaging or another provider, we'll tell you and help coordinate it.
Do you take insurance?
We're in-network with most major plans and we verify your benefits before your first adjustment so there are no surprises. Cash and payment-plan options are available too — see our insurance and payment FAQs.
How soon can I get in?
Most new patients are seen within a few days, not weeks. Book online for the clinic closest to you or call and we'll find the first available exam slot.
